About the ISRO One Day Free Course
Planetary exploration of the Mars has revealed several interesting facts related to its surface features and atmosphere. The past few decades of remote sensing followed by recent advances in the data analysis techniques have contributed significantly to our current understanding of the physical and chemical processes occurring over the planetary bodies. Wealth of data acquired by various Mars missions has resulted in discoveries, provided huge opportunities to study them by the examination of new ideas and testing data analysis algorithms. This one-day online workshop is focused on the exploration of Mars through various scientific satellite missions and discussions of their important findings. Expected Outcome
The proposed workshop is planned to provide an overview of remote exploration of our near neighbour, Mars. It is envisaged to showcase the process, methods and salient findings of recent Mars missions with the emphasis Indian Missions. Students and researchers aligned or aiming for research in Planetary Science would be able to develop understanding about the various aspects of Martian explorations.

There is no fee for attending this workshop.
Programme Reception
The workshop can be attended through e-class platform of IIRS-ISRO using internet connectivity. No specific hardware/software required. However, it is recommended good internet connectivity at user end. To run the programme in class room, following hardware will be required:
Desktop computer with web camera microphone and output speakers or laptop with microphone camera and output speaker
Large display screen/projector/TV.
Award of Certificate
Registered through Nodal centres : Based on the attendance, participants will be awarded a “Workshop Participation Certificate.
Individual Registration: A certificate for “Workshop Participation” will be awarded to everyone who devotes at least 50% of the total session’s hours of the workshop. The certificate will be available for download on the ISRO LMS platform.
