Description
Welcome to our web server and database basics course. This course provides comprehensive guidance on the basics of cloud computing and its various service models. It is intended for people who are new to cloud computing and want to gain a solid understanding of the concept and its applications.
The course begins by introducing the three main cloud service models, including: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). Students will learn about the features and benefits of each model and the many real-world use cases.
From there, we’ll dive into Linode cloud server deployments. Students will learn how to set up and configure a remote copy, including installing and configuring the Ubuntu Linux distribution. Here students work with Apache and operate real-time web servers. This includes the database server implementation with MariaDB. Students will benefit from the hands-on aspects of this section, gaining valuable experience in various aspects of cloud server setup and management.
This course also covers the basics of Linux, including the basics of the Linux operating system and the command line interface. This section is important for students who are new to Linux and want to gain a solid understanding of its features and capabilities. Here we look at navigating the Linux file system, directory commands, and working with user accounts.
Finally, this course covers intensively the theoretical foundations of web servers and database servers. Students will learn about the different types of web servers and databases and how they can be used to create and manage web applications. It includes a detailed overview of Apache and NGINX. From there, we’ll explore the different types of database management systems for SQL and NoSQL databases. We will also cover ACID compliance and CAP theorems for processing database transactions.
This course is designed for people who are new to cloud computing and want to gain a solid understanding of the concept and its applications. When you’re ready to log in, hit record, but let’s get started.
