About ISRO Free Online Course on Artificial Intelligence
ISRO has invited applications from interested students and professionals for yet another free online course. The course called “Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Earth Observation (EO) and geodata handling and processing” will be conducted from 2 to 13 May 2022. ISRO free online course is often conducted by the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), a unit under the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Department of Space, Government of India.
IIRS is a premier Training and Educational Institute set up for developing trained professionals in the field of remote sensing, geoinformatics, and GNSS technology for natural resources, environmental, and disaster management. The IIRS Outreach Program focuses on strengthening the academia and user segments in space technology and its applications using online learning platforms. The ISRO free online course is from the IIRS e-class platform.

Number of Seats
The limited number of participants can join the IIRS online courses. IIRS announces number of seats for each course. First-come-first-served basis is the criteria. Registration for the course are out one month before the start date of the course.

Award of Certificate
In general course completion/participation certificate on minimum 70% attendance and 40% score in online examination. However, this criteria may change based on coursetype and duration.

Steps to Pre-Register yourself for ISRO Free Online Course on Artificial Intelligence?
Interested participants will have to first log on to the educate registration website, and then go through the following steps:
- Candidates will have to give their full name, email, and password to register.
- On successful submission of application, applicants will receive a registration number as web page display and email message.
- Applicants will have to activate their accounts by clicking on the link on their email address.
- Once the account is activated and email is all set, the application will be available for selection process to the institute, course coordinator or director.
- The course coordinator or director will review the application and verify the submitted documents and approve or reject the application.
- All the approved participants will receive an approval email with their login credentials of IIRS e-class platform.
- Those applicants whose status of application displays “Not Approved” will be considered as Learners who can watch the sessions live on YouTube.
- Those who wish to register needs to visit the official website for further directions.
