About NALSAR University of Law Free Online Course

In this online course, we shall make an effort to understand the history of our constitution, the kinds of debates we had in our Constituent Assembly, the right and wrong choices we made as to the drafting of the constitution, the preamble of the constitution that defines the destination that we want to reach through our constitution, the fundamental right constitution guarantees through the great rights revolution, the relationship between fundamental rights and fundamental duties, the futurist goals of the constitution as incorporated in directive principles and the relationship between fundamental rights and directive principles, powers of union and state executive, powers and the role of our judiciary particularly its role of taking sufferings of people seriously through the Public Interest Litigation, President — Prime Minister relationship, Ordinance making power and amending powers of the Parliament.

What you will Learn?

  • Become familiar with the text of the constitution and leading cases.
  • Identify the fundamental policy choices incorporated in the Constitution.
  • Articulate opinions on significant, vital, controversial, and current constitutional issues.
  • Examine the historical evolution of doctrines standards, and tests.
  • Understand India’s post-independence constitutional journey.

Eligibility

Anyone who has passed class tenth or currently studying in the tenth standard can also enroll in this course.

Course Duration

This online course has 15 conceptual videos and the first video lecture shall be available upon registration. Once the previous video is completed the next video will be available in a progressive way.

Note: These videos shall be available for a period of 6 months from the date of registration.

Certificate

Yes, you get a free verified certificate from NALSAR University of Law. But there are certain conditions you need to look into it-

To receive digital certifications candidates must:

  • Registration is free for accessing the lectures
  • Watch all 15 videos
  • Opt for the online assessment which consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
  • The online assessment is available only for 10 days after completing the last video
  • “Certificate of Participation” for all the registered students for free after completion of all the videos
  • All the registered students who have taken the assessment AND scored less than 60% will get a “Certificate of Appreciation”
  • “Certificate of Merit” for all the registered students who have taken the assessment AND scored more than 60%

Fee: Candidates can take the online assessment for Rs 100/- after completion of videos.
