Course Description
IIRS announces “Remote Sensing and GIS” free online course for students and professionals. The best part of this course is that it is available in Hindi Language, hence more students will be benefitted.
This is the 91th outreach program conducted by the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), a unit under ISRO.
In this course, topics such as Introduction to Remote Sensing and GIS, their sensors and platforms, Geo-Data handling in open source GIS Software, GIS Data Analysis, Online Geo-data repository would be covered and elaborated.
The duration of this course would be from 14/09/2021 to 28/09/2021. It’s a 14-days free certification course. The course includes study materials like lecture slides, video recordings of lectures, open source softwares and demonstrations.
Eligibility
Undergraduate and postgraduate students of any stream are eligible to apply. Technical and scientific staff or researchers at any university are also eligible to apply.
Certification
Yes, there would be a free verified certificate by ISRO to all the candidates, if they have 70 per cent attendance and 40 per cent passing marks in the exam conducted at the end of session.
