About Hero Campus Challenge Season 8
Hero Campus Challenge Season 8, a Hero MotoCorp Limited initiative, allows students to get a glimpse into the Hero world and become a part of it by working on real-world business challenges.
These can be specific problem-based challenges to select a methodology for identifying the top priorities for the organization or scenario planning exercises to determine Hero’s long-term strategy.
HCC Season 8 aims to reveal diverse and unique perspectives and approaches to scenario building/problem-solving from some of the country’s brightest minds studying at India’s top B-Schools and Engineering Colleges.
Participants are expected to analyze current trends and other disruptions while considering how they will impact Hero MotoCorp and present a feasible and actionable solution to the current scenario.
Eligibility Criteria of Hero Campus Challenge Season 8
- Students with a B.Tech/B.E/M.E/M. Tech degrees from any Engineering College are eligible to participate.
- First and second-year MBA/PGDM students, as well as 1-year management students, are eligible to apply.
Team Formulation Guidelines
- Students must register in groups of three.
- A team’s members should all be from the same institute.
- To participate in the competition, all team members must give their permission.
- A student may not participate in more than one team.
- HCC Season 8 is only open to B-School and Engineering students.
- The number of teams from an institute is not limited.
- Teams will not be able to change their team members once registration closes.
Competition Structure and Details
1.Round 1: Online Assessment
- The Online Quiz Round must be completed by all registered teams.
- Each team will only have one chance to take the assessment. You will not be able to retake it if you have already taken it during the assessment window.
- Participants will be graded on Critical Reasoning, Logical Ability, and Analytics questions.
- Teams will be scored equally on all questions.
- Everyone who takes the test will receive a participation certificate.

2.Round 2: Idea Elevator Video Pitch Submission
- The challenge statements will be communicated to all shortlisted teams from both tracks in due time.
- Teams must submit a 1-slide PowerPoint presentation of their proposed solution in the prescribed format.
- Along with the PPT, teams must also submit a 60-90 second video describing their idea.
- While working on the case study, teams must keep the ease of implementation of the solution in the current scenario in mind and NOT consider the future scenarios.
- To avoid any last-minute hassle, all teams are asked to submit their entries a few hours before the deadline.
- The teams would be able to view and edit their submissions at any time before the deadline. As a result, we advise teams to submit their work as soon as possible.
- If multiple solutions from the same team are chosen for the next round, the team will only be able to compete with one case of their choice.
Guidelines for Video
- The video should only be in MP4 format.
- The video file size must not take more than 20 MB.
- Aside from (underscore), no special characters are permitted in the video file name.

3.Round 3: Virtual Presentation
- Teams selected for Round 3 (from both tracks) must submit their detailed presentation before the round begins.
- Teams will have the opportunity to virtually present their solutions to Hero MotoCorp Limited’s Senior Management.
- Each team will have 10 minutes to present and 5 minutes for questions and answers (A total of 15 minutes).
- All pertinent information will be sent to the shortlisted teams via email.

Virtual Mentorship Period
- The top 10 finalists, 5 teams per track, will advance to the Mentorship and Grand Finale.
- Prior to the Grand Finale, each shortlisted team will be assigned a mentor from Hero MotoCorp’s Senior Leadership for guidance. This will also assist teams in shaping their final presentations.
4.Round 4: Grand Finale
- In the Grand Finale, the shortlisted teams will have 10 minutes to present, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session with the panel and audience.
- Hero MotoCorp will offer Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) to the winners and runners-up in both tracks; Business and Engineering.
General Instructions for all rounds of HCC Season 8
- Each team can only upload one submission, with a maximum file size of 20 MB.
- Each team must upload the submission for each qualified stage by the deadline set by Hero MotoCorp Limited.
- Before the submission deadline, only the team leader of each team will be able to upload, view, and change the submission.
- Before registering for HCC Season 8, each team must read the Terms & Conditions.

- Your choice for any function/department/location must be solely based on the company’s business requirements at the time (with respect to the PPOs offered to the winners).
- All eligibility, authenticity, and final judgement decisions will be made by Hero Motocorp Limited.
- The format, structure, and timeline of events may change.
- Hero and its affiliated companies may use the personal information you provide when registering for promotional purposes.
- Hero MotoCorp Limited reserves the right to disqualify a team from the competition if it fails to upload its submission within the specified time frame.
- All ideas/solutions submitted for HCC Season 8 will be owned by HMCL.
- Disputes, if any, will be resolved exclusively by the courts of Delhi.
