About the Jio
The company was registered in Ambawadi, Ahmedabad, Gujarat on 15 February 2007 as Infotel Broadband Services Limited (IBSL). In June 2010, Reliance Industries (RIL) bought a 95% stake in IBSL for ₹4,800 crore (equivalent to ₹110 billion or US$1.3 billion in 2023).
Although unlisted, IBSL was the only company that won broadband spectrum in all 22 circles in India in the 4G auction that took place earlier that year. Later continuing as RIL’s telecom subsidiary, Infotel Broadband Services Limited was renamed Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) in January 2013.
In June 2015, Jio announced that it would start its operations throughout the country by the end of 2015. Eligibility Criteria for Reliance Jio Internship Program
- You are eligible to apply if you have:
- Minimum 18 years of age while accepting the internship
- Must be studying in a full-time degree/diploma program with a government-recognized education institute.
- Must have written permission from the institute for the internship

Step 1: You need to apply and register to the program on the Jio Careers portal (careers.jio.com)
Step 2: An online assessment test link will be sent on your registered email ID and mobile number as soon as
you apply. This assessment will take no longer than 5 minutes to complete and can be taken from any laptop,
computer or smartphone. You need to complete this assessment within 48 hours, as it is required in order to
progress your application to the next stage in our selection process.
