About Google STEP Intern

Google is committed to boosting the number of aspiring software engineers and computer scientists, especially those who have historically been underrepresented in the field. An initiative that bridges the gap between academic study and a professional internship would be helpful to many aspiring computer scientists. With this program, Google hopes to encourage these underrepresented students to stick with the field. In light of this, Google is happy to announce the STEP internship in India for 2023.

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates who doing a full-time degree program and returning to it once the internship is over can be eligible for this program.
• Extremely good C++, Java, and Python programming skills are required.
• Candidates who have the capacity to finish a full-time, 10–12 week internship between May and August 2023 (exact program dates will be provided at a later point in the process) can be eligible for this program

Eligibility Criteria

• A candidate who is in the second year of a bachelor’s program, majoring in computer science or a related technical field, or planning to major in it.
• Programming knowledge of one or more general-purpose languages is required.

Work Location

When submitting an application for this internship, a candidate has the chance to specify which of the following locations they would prefer to work in:- Bangalore or Hyderabad
