Purpose of the MIETY Certified Internship
An internship is a chance for a student to gain actual, hands-on work experience while being guided by a qualified, experienced supervisor or mentor. By experimenting and applying the knowledge learned in the classroom, it also attempts to promote active participation in the learning process. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has made the decision to announce these “Internship Guidelines” in order to provide a framework for the engagement of Interns for a brief period of time, for the greater good of the student community, and in an effort to enhance the management/implementation of its various schemes/programs.

Eligibility Criteria
- Students pursuing B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M. Tech, MCA, MSc (Electronics)/ MSc(CS)/ MSc(IT), DoEACC ‘B’ level, LL.B ,B.A./M.A. in Economics (Hons.)
- at recognized Indian universities and earning at least 60% in the most recent degree or certificate examination can be eligible for this internship.
- An internship in the ministry is not guaranteed if you meet the aforementioned minimal requirements. Depending on the requirement, candidates with experience in the proposed internship’s field, good academic credentials, and higher qualifications will be given preference.
- The internship will not be available to students who are in their last semester or who will graduate in the summer of 2023.

Upon completion of the internship and submission of a report that has been properly countersigned and approved by the Competent Authority, the Ministry will provide certificates to the interns.
Under the condition that his supervisor or mentor properly certifies his satisfactory work, an intern would receive a token payment of Rs. 10,000 every month.
