About the SBIF Asha Scholarship Program 2024

The SBIF Asha Scholarship Program 2024, one of India’s largest scholarship programs, is an initiative of the SBI Foundation under its education vertical – Integrated Learning Mission (ILM). This program aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income families across India, ensuring the continuity of their education. This scholarship is open to students from Class 6 to 12 and for those who are pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate courses from the top 100 NIRF universities/colleges and IITs or MBA/PGDM courses from IIMs

Eligibility Criteria

SBIF Asha Scholarship Program for School Students

Open for Indian nationals.

Applicants must be studying in Class 6 to 12 in the current academic year.

Students must have secured 75% marks or above in their previous academic year.

The gross annual family income of the applicants must be up to INR 3,00,000. 

Note

50% of the slots will be reserved for female applicants. 

Preference will be given to students belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories.

Proof of income (Form 16A/income certificate from a government authority/salary slips, etc.)

Photograph of the applicant

SBIF Asha Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Students

Applicants should be Indian nationals.

Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate course (any year) from a premier university/college in India, as listed in the Top 100 Institutes according to the latest NIRF rankings.

Students must have secured 75% marks or above in their previous academic year.

The gross annual family income of the applicants must be up to INR 6,00,000. 

Note: 

Premier institutions and renowned colleges will include those listed in the top 100 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) List for Universities and the top 100 in the NIRF List for Colleges for 2023 and 2024 (released by the Ministry of Education, Government of India). Additionally, all National Institutes of Technology (NITs) will also be included.

Preference will be given to students with a family income of up to INR 3,00,000 per annum.

50% of the slots will be reserved for female applicants. 

Preference will be given to students belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories.

SBIF Asha Scholarship Program for Postgraduate Students

Applicants should be Indian nationals.

Applicants must pursue a postgraduate course (any year) from a premier university/college in India, as listed in the Top 100 Institutes according to the latest NIRF rankings.

Students must have secured 75% marks or above in their previous academic year.

The gross annual family income of the applicants must be up to INR 6,00,000. 

Note:

Applicants should be Indian nationals.

Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate course (any year) from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in India.

Students must have secured 75% marks or above in their previous academic year.

The gross annual family income of the applicants must be up to INR 6,00,000. 

Note: 

Preference will be given to students with a family income of up to INR 3,00,000 per annum.

50% of the slots will be reserved for female applicants. 

Preference will be given to students belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories.

Up to INR 2,00,000

Applicants should be Indian nationals.

Applicants must be pursuing MBA/PGDM courses (any year) from an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in India.

Students must have secured 75% marks or above in their previous academic year.

The gross annual family income of the applicants must be up to INR 6,00,000. 

Note

  • Preference will be given to students with a family income of up to INR 3,00,000 per annum.

Scholarship Amount

Selected students can receive a scholarship of up to INR 7.5 lakh to support their educational endeavors.

Selection Process

The selection for the ‘SBIF Asha Scholarship Program 2024’ is based on academic merit and financial background and involves the following multi-stage process:

Initial shortlisting of applications based on academic performance and financial background.

Telephonic interviews with shortlisted candidates, followed by document verification for final selection.
