About SBI Asha Scholarship Program 2023
The SBI Foundation created this program as part of its Integrated Learning Mission (ILM) education initiative to give deserving students from low-income households across India financial support so they can continue their education. A scholarship of up to INR 5 lakh for one year may be awarded under this scholarship program to college students enrolled in their first year of undergraduate study at top NIRF universities/colleges and IITs, MBA/PGDM programs at IIMs, and Ph.D. programs at prestigious institutions. The organization responsible for carrying out this scholarship program is Buddy4Study.

Required Documents
- Marksheet from the most recent academic year (Class 12 or Graduate or Postgraduate, as appropriate)
an identity document issued by the government (Aadhaar card) - Current year admission proof (fee receipt/admission letter/institution identity card/bonafide certificate)
- Bank Account information for the applicant (or parent)
- Income documentation (Form 16A, income certification from a government agency, pay stubs, etc.)
- Photo of the applicant
Undergraduate Students’ scholarship
- Eligibility Criteria
- Students enrolled in their first year of undergraduate study at top NIRF universities or colleges are eligible in the academic year 2022–2023.
- Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 75% on their Class 12 exam.
- The candidates’ annual household income from all sources cannot exceed INR 3 lakh.
- Students from all regions of India may apply.
Benefits: Selected students receive Up to INR 50,000 for one year as a scholarship amount

IIT Students’ scholarship
- Eligibility Criteria
- They must be enrolled in their first year of undergraduate study at one of the top IITs in the academic year 2022–2023.
- Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 75% on their Class 12 exam.
- The candidates’ annual household income from all sources is limited to INR 3 lakh.
- Students from all throughout India may apply.
- Benefits: Selected students receive Up to INR 3,40,000 for one year as a scholarship amount
IIM Students’ scholarship
- Eligibility Criteria
- For the academic year 2022–2023, students enrolled in the first year of an MBA or PGDM program at a top IIM are eligible.
- A minimum of 75% overall (across all years and semesters) in graduation is required for applicants.
- The candidates’ annual household income from all sources must not surpass INR 3 lakh.
- Students from all regions of India may apply.
Benefits: Selected students receive Up to INR 5,00,000 for one year as a scholarship amount
Ph.D. Students’ scholarship
- Eligibility Criteria
- Students enrolling in a Ph.D. program in their first year (in any track) at a reputable institution for the academic year 2022–2023 are eligible.
- Candidates must have received an overall postgraduate grade point average of 75% or higher.
The candidates’ annual household income from all sources cannot exceed INR 3 lakh.
Students from all regions of India may apply.
- Benefits: Selected students receive Up to INR 2,00,000 for one year as a scholarship amount
