About Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship

“Tata Capital Limited” has launched the “Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Programme” to support the higher education of students belonging to economically weaker sections of society. The main aim of this scholarship is to provide financial support to the students who are not able to continue their studies further due to financial crises. 

The scholarship is divided into the following categories as per the course level.

  •  Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship for Class 6 to 10 Students
  • Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship for Class 11 and 12 Students
  • Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Programme for Diploma/Polytechnic Students
  • Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Programme for Undergraduate Degree Courses
  • Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Programme for Professional Degree Courses

Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria for all the categories are as mentioned below:

Scholarship Programme for Class 6 to 10 Students 2021-22The applicant must be an Indian. Applicant must lose their parent(s) or belong to a family who lost their primary earning family member/s due to COVID-19.
Applicant must be studying Class 6 to 10. Applicant must secure 60% marks in the previous standard. Applicant’s family income should not be more than 4 Lakh from all sources.
Scholarship Programme for Class 11 and 12 Students 2021-22Applicant must be an Indian Applicant must study in Class 11th or 12th Applicant must secure 60% marks in 10th or 11th standard. Applicant’s family income should not be more than 4 Lakh from all sources.
Scholarship Programme for Diploma/Polytechnic Students 2021-22The applicant must be an Indian. Applicant must study in Diploma/Polytechnic course. Applicant must secure 60% marks in the previous standard. Applicant’s family income should not be more than 4 Lakh from all sources.
Scholarship Programme for Undergraduate Degree Courses 2021-22The applicant must be an Indian. Applicant must study in an undergraduate degree program like BCom, BSc, BBA, BA, etc. Applicant must secure 60% marks in the previous standard. Applicant’s family income should not be more than 4 Lakh from all sources.
Scholarship Programme for Professional Degree Courses 2021-22The applicant must be an Indian. Applicant must study for a professional degree like Engineering, Medical, Law, etc. Applicant must secure 60% marks in the previous standard. Applicant’s family income should not be more than 4 Lakh from all sources.

Selection Procedure

The selection of scholars for ‘The Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Programme’ will be made based on their academic merit and financial background.

  • Initially, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their academic merit and financial background
  • Then, there will be shortlisted candidates’ Telephonic interviews.
  • After the final interview by a selection committee, the final selection list will be processed.

NOTE: 50% of seats are reserved for girls. Also, weightage will be given to SC/ST/Disabled students.

Documents Required

At the time of online application, students have to upload the following documents on the scholarship portal:

  • Photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card)
  • Passport size photograph
  • Income proof (Form 16A/income certificate from government authority/salary slips, etc.)
  • Proof of admission (school/college ID card/bonafide certificate, etc.)
  • Current academic year fee receipt
  • Bank account details of the scholarship applicant (canceled cheque/passbook copy)
  • Marksheets or grade cards of the preceding class 
  • Disability & Caste certificate (if applicable)

Important Date

The last date to register for this scholarship is 15 October 2021.
