The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has launched the Techfest Olympiad 2023, a national-level science and technology Olympiad for school students of classes 8-10. The Olympiad is open to all Indian students enrolled in a recognized school in India.

About Techfest Olympiad 2023
Techfest Olympiad 2023 presents students with a platform to develop and showcase their scientific and practical life problem-solving skills. All participants have to solve the maximum number of questions in a specified time interval to compete with the brightest minds of the country. Only Standard 8th, 9th, and 10th students are eligible to participate.
Stage 1: This stage will be held at each of the 5 Zonal Qualifiers. The top 3 students will qualify for the STAGE 2 to be held during Techfest 2023-24 (provided their score is more than a minimum cut-off score which will be decided later).
Stage 2: This stage will be held at the IIT Bombay campus during Techfest from December 27 to 29, 2023. These 75 students will go through a screening round and the top 15 students will go ahead to participate in the Grand Finale.
Stage 3: Personal Interview round to be taken by a professional person from IIT Bombay testing critical thinking and pressure handling skills.
Timeline of Techfest Olympiad 2023
Round 1: Zonals Round will be held at 5 major cities, namely:
Mumbai: October 8, 2023.
Bangalore: October 8, 2023.
Jaipur: October 15, 2023.
Bhopal: October 15, 2023.
Lucknow: October 15, 2023.
Round 2: Finale will be held at Techfest 2023-24 during December 27 to 29, 2023
Every team has to register online on the official Techfest website for the competition.
A Team ID will be allocated to the team on registration which shall be used for future references.
The decision of the organizers or judges shall be treated as final and binding on all.
No responsibility will be held by Techfest, IIT Bombay for any late, lost, or misdirected entries.
Note that at any point of time, the latest information will be that which is on the website; however, registered participants will be informed through mail about any changes.
All modes of official communication will be through the Techfest e-mail, participants are advised to keep track of all folders in their e-mail accounts.
The winners of the Techfest Olympiad 2023 will be awarded cash prizes, certificates, and other prizes. The first-place winner will receive a cash prize of INR 40,000, the second-place winner will receive a cash prize of INR 30,000, and the third-place winner will receive a cash prize of INR 20,000. The top 15 students will also receive certificates and other prizes from IIT Bombay.
Who Can Participate?
Any individual with a valid ID card, Early-stage startups, and up to 3-year-old college pass-outs can participate in the competition.
