The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched a free online Course training program called the Space Science and Technology Awareness Training (START) program, aimed at promoting space science and technology awareness among undergraduate and postgraduate students of science and technology. The program covers various domains of space science, including Astronomy and astrophysics, Heliophysics and sun-earth interaction, Instrumentation, and Aeronomy, and is delivered by scientists from Indian academia and ISRO centers. The program is part of ISRO‘s efforts to enable Indian students to become professionals in space science and research, as the organization’s space science exploration program continues to expand into new domains.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is the national space agency of India. It operates as the primary research and development arm of the Department of Space (DoS), which is directly overseen by the Prime Minister of India while the Chairman of also acts as the executive of DoS.
it is primarily responsible for performing tasks related to space-based operations, space exploration, international space cooperation, and the development of related technologies. it is one of the six government space agencies in the world that possesses full launch capabilities, can deploy cryogenic engines, can launch extraterrestrial missions, and operate a large fleet of artificial satellites is one of the four government space agencies to have soft landing (uncrewed) capabilities.

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has accomplished many space missions which include 114 spacecraft missions, 83 launch vehicle missions, 13 student satellites, 2 re-entry missions, and 342 foreign satellites from 34 countries.
The data and information generated using these space missions are very important for many developmental activities including better planning and decision-making in the areas of earth observations, satellite communications, navigations, weather forecasting, telemedicine, environmental and climate studies, agriculture, food and water security, disaster management, etc.
