About the ISRO
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is the national space agency of India. It operates as the primary research and development arm of the Department of Space (DoS), which is directly overseen by the Prime Minister of India while the Chairman of ISRO also acts as the executive of DoS. ISRO is primarily responsible for performing tasks related to space-based operations, space exploration, international space cooperation, and the development of related technologies.[1] ISRO is one of the six government space agencies in the world that possesses full launch capabilities, can deploy cryogenic engines, can launch extraterrestrial missions, and operate a large fleet of artificial satellites. ISRO is one of the four government space agencies to have soft landing (uncrewed) capabilities.
ISRO was previously known as the Indian National Committee for Space Research (INCOSPAR), set up under Jawaharlal Nehru on the suggestions of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai in 1962 recognizing the need for space research. INCOSPAR grew and became ISRO in 1969, within the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). In 1972, the government of India set up a Space Commission and the DoS, bringing ISRO under it. The establishment of ISRO thus institutionalized space research activities in India. It has since been managed by DoS, which also governs various other institutions in India in the domain of astronomy and space technology.
Eligibility Criteria Of Free Certification Internship
Internship Opportunity shall be extended for UG / PG / PhD students pursuing BE/BTech/MCA/ME/MTech/Phd or have completed within six months of the application.
The duration of the internship work will be around 45 days.
The student shall possess an aggregate of Min. 60% or a CGPA of 6.32 on a scale of 10

Where to apply?
To pursue student project work at NRSC, students can apply by email at: student[at]nrsc[dot]gov[dot]in. They should clearly mention the duration and the start time of the project in the email and attach a soft copy of the documents mentioned below..
Documents :
Request letter from the Head of Dept./Principal/Placement officer of the college(CollegeAbbreviation_Studentname_Branch.pdf) also mentioning duration of the project, with start and end dates. The letter of recommendation should be addressed to ‘Incharge, Training, Education and Outreach Group, NRSC’
CV/biodata/ resume which includes marks obtained from Xth class onwards (Studentname_Cv.pdf)
Copies of mark sheets (Studentname_X, Studentname_XII, Studentname_ undergrad and any other relevant document)
Copy of the latest marks sheet of the current completed year (Studentname_degree)
Selection and Joining of Free Certification Internship
How will you know about the selection?
The selected students will be informed through email. Remember to add your email ID in the resume, as all the correspondence after receiving your application will be done through email only.
At the time of joining
On being selected the student is required to give the joining date and other details as mentioned in their selection letter.
In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, at present, we are selecting few students only to pursue their project work at NRSC in online virtual mode. They have to work from their home or wherever they are under the guidance of the NRSC guide. The project confirmation letter along with the details of the project guide will be sent to the student after selection.

Project Report
Printing and photocopying of the project report has to be done outside NRSC.
Certification
Certification of the project will be done by the Project Guide at NRSC and by the Head of the College / Dept. of the Institution where the student is studying. There will be no certification of the Internal Guide unless he has enough guiding components. This shall be duly reflected in the project report. Unless the report is completed in all respects and is bound, it will not be cleared by the NRSC Outreach Facility.
General Information
There will be no financial assistance from NRSC & NRSC does not charge for internship
The outstation students will have to arrange for their stay at Hyderabad, as NRSC Outreach Facility does not provide any accommodation
NRSC does not provide any free food, transport, etc, to the students
The workplace can be at Jeedimetla or Shadnagar depending upon the project & guide
Students are discouraged from sending mail to any NRSC mail ID other than that specified here. Sending emails to multiple persons may lead to disqualification
The aggregate marks reflected in the resume will be verified with original certificates at the time of joining
The number of students from each college will be limited to a maximum of eight students per branch for undergraduates and six students per institute for PG students
After receiving the application, all further correspondence will be carried out through email only
A student project facility is available for students who would like to work full-time at NRSC.
