Jaipur, Rajasthan – February 24, 2024: Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, has raised his voice in support of students stranded abroad due to the non-disbursement of funds under the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence scheme. In a letter addressed to the current Chief Minister, Bhajanlal Sharma, Gehlot demanded the immediate release of scholarship funds to alleviate the financial hardship faced by the students.

Ashok Gehlot, a former chief minister of Rajasthan, has insisted that the funds be released immediately to the young people chosen for the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship Programme by the state government.

According to him, 346 students were selected for the programme but did not receive scholarships.
Gehlot claimed to have received this information from the pupils who visited him.
Regarding the matter, the Congress leader has corresponded with Chief Minister Sharma via letter.
Once more, the students and their families have united to express that they still haven’t received the scholarship, even after almost a week.
The students who have already arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship programme are dealing with a lot of difficulties, thus I would like to ask Chief Minister Bhajanlal ji once more for the scholarship’s immediate distribution. According to the Congress leader, these children’s education and careers will be impacted if the scholarship is not awarded, even after the deadline.
