About the Code For Govtech 2024
Code for GovTech (C4GT) is an ecosystem initiative to build an open-source community around Digital Public Goods (DPG), Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), and tech building blocks with use cases in social impact.
Dedicated Mentoring Program (DMP) 2024 is an experiential learning opportunity for technology enthusiasts across the globe. Participants will solve population-scale problems, work on live open-source projects, and drive impact while being mentored closely by experienced industry practitioners.
Eligibility Criteria
Engineering Students, MBA Students, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Fresher, Experienced Professionals
Any technology enthusiast who has the skill set mentioned in the project requirements and is interested in coding or product design (user research and UI/UX design) and willing to contribute to open-source projects is eligible for participation.
Selected contributors need to be available for a minimum of 20 hours a week over a period of 3 months from June to September (can be more as well based on the project requirements). This is a remote opportunity but may involve travel based on the requirements of the project and the organization.

Results for Contributor Selection
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to work on a 3-month program on coding and product usability from June to September 2024 under dedicated mentorship from industry experts.

Select the project(s) – Click here to go through all the projects for C4GT’s DMP 2024. Please Note – More projects will be released on the 20th of April, stay tuned. To boost your chances of selection to DMP 2024 by 25%, you can also contribute to C4GT’s open community projects / complete the GitHub classroom project here and mention your contributions in the proposal to avail extra points for your candidature.
Proposal submission – To be considered for the coding program you have to submit at least one proposal for a project of your choice. You can submit a maximum of 3 proposals for three different project preferences. Please refer to the sample proposal & guidelines document– Click Here.
Interviews – If your proposal is selected, you may be invited for an interview or given an assignment based on the organization’s evaluation process.
Submission Guidelines
To apply for the Code for GovTech’s Dedicated Mentoring Program (DMP) 2024, all candidates must review the various projects listed on the C4GT DMP 2024 Github Page and complete the registration form on Unstop.
You are allowed to apply to a maximum of 3 projects, in order of preference. Submitting multiple proposals increases your chances of being selected.
Kindly avoid re-submissions to the extent possible, unless there is a technical glitch.
Please note that a separate proposal must be submitted for each project you are applying for.
The proposal document is to be created based on the proposal guidelines and sample proposal document shared.

Rewards and Prizes
The selected contributors who successfully complete C4GT’s Dedicated Mentoring Program (DMP) 2024 get the following rewards:
Stipend: Contributors who are accepted into C4GT’s Dedicated Mentoring Program (DMP) 2024 and successfully complete it receive a stipend of ~INR 1 Lakh, paid in two installments over the course of the program.
Certificate of completion: Contributors who successfully complete the program receive a certificate of completion from the C4GT team, which can be added to their resumes and LinkedIn profiles.
Mentorship and networking opportunities: C4GT’s Dedicated Mentoring Program (DMP) 2024 provides contributors with the opportunity to work with experienced mentors and connect with other developers, which can lead to valuable networking opportunities.
Access to in-person meet-ups: Contributors will be invited for in-person meetups during the dedicated mentoring program.
Potential future opportunities: Successful completion of C4GT’s Dedicated Mentoring Program (DMP) 2024 may lead to future job opportunities in the form of PPI and PPO from participating organizations.
