About the Research Assistant
The IIMA Centre for Transportation and Logistics (CTL) is a research centre that addresses critical transportation and logistics challenges in India through an integrated, multidisciplinary program of research and policy advice.
CTL invites applications for the position of Research Assistant to support a wide range of CTL research activities. Research Assistants are expected to work independently within the scope of their responsibilities.

Eligibility criteria
Applicants must have a B.E./B.Tech (or equivalent in any discipline) or a B.S./B.A. (in economics, finance, management, planning, or a closely related social science field) degree from a top-tier institution with outstanding grades.
Preference will be given to applicants with a relevant Master’s degree (specifically in transportation systems, planning, management, economics, finance, or a closely related social science field). Candidates having experience in executing surveys, conducting literature reviews, coordinating with various organizations, and developing research reports will be preferred.
In addition, candidates must have a comprehensive understanding of research principles and robust skills in quantitative analysis and econometric methods. Experience in working with data analysis tools (such as R/Matlab/Python) is a requirement. Any experience on simulation software such as Arena/Matlab simulator is a plus. Further, candidates must possess excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to work in a team environment.
Role and Responsibility
Conduct extensive market research, collect data on industry, competitors, and marketplaces, perform data analysis, simulations, derive conclusions, and prepare manuscripts and presentations for the same.
Carry out high-quality literature reviews and primary/secondary research on transportation and logistics-related topics.
Work on research articles and prepare long-form articles, surveys, policy briefs, case studies, presentations, reports, editorial notes, white papers & industry/technical notes.
Provide editorial support for the development of written content and visual communication products.
Demonstrate independent thinking and take initiatives to address pertinent and emerging topics within the sector.
Ideate and edit video clips on the latest faculty research and Centre’s projects.
Stay informed about the latest research, policies, best practices, and updates in the transportation & logistics sector.
Provide any other research support, as needed.
Other responsibilities include assistance in program/event planning and execution, website & social media management, and various centre-related operations.

Tenure & Salary
