The Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIITA) is happy to invite committed students enrolled in public and private universities and institutes around India, both undergraduate and postgraduate, to apply for internships. Our internship/credit export programs provide a combination of research experiences and academic development under the following recently added areas.

About the IIIT Allahabad

In 1999, the Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIIT-A) was founded with the goal of becoming a premier centre for information technology (IT) and related fields. The Indian government granted the institute the title of “Deemed University” in 2000.

A 2014 Act of the Parliament of the Government of India designated it as an “Institute of National Importance.” Building professional competence and skilled labour in IT and related research domains was the Institute’s original goal when it was formed.

As the premier IT institute, IIIT-A has been working to build up the national capacity needed to effectively exploit and harness the multifaceted aspects of IT and related fields at all levels. It has also been acquiring the knowledge and skills required to help the nation become a major player in the international arena.

Types of Internship

• Course Internship (one semester) [Click Here].
• Research internship/project/thesis (1 or 2 semesters) [Click Here].
• “Student Exchange Program” with Semester Credit Export Scheme (SCES) [Click Here].
• Regular Internship (Summer/Winter) [Click Here].

NOTE: For Programs cited under A, B and C, the portal is open for registration and the program start and end dates shall be aligned with the IIITA Academic calendar.

Program D: Summer (6-8 weeks)/ Winter internship (4-6 weeks) is a benchmark internship program of IIIT Allahabad and is going to start from 13/05/2024.

Eligibility Criteria

Calling all undergraduate and postgraduate students

We are excited to announce the eligibility criteria for the prestigious IIIT Allahabad Summer Internships program, commencing on May 13th, 2024.

Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field.

Demonstrate a keen interest in research and a passion for applying theoretical knowledge to practical applications.

• Starting date of application submission: 16/04/2024
• Last date of application submission: 02/05/2024
• Starting date of Summer Internship: 13/05/2024
