About the SECI

Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI) is a company of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, established to facilitate the implementation of the National Solar Mission (NSM). It is the only Central Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) dedicated to the solar energy sector. The company’s mandate has been broadened to cover the entire renewable energy domain and the company will be renamed to Renewable Energy Corporation of India (RECI).

The company is responsible for the implementation of several government schemes, the major ones being the VGF schemes for large-scale grid-connected projects under NSM, solar park scheme, and grid-connected solar rooftop scheme, along with a host of other specialized schemes such as defense scheme, solar canals, and Indo-Pak border scheme.

About the Govt of India

The Government of India (ISO: Bhārat Sarkār; often abbreviated as GoI), also known as the Central Government or simply the Centre, is the national authority of the Republic of India, a federal democracy located in South Asia, consisting of 28 union states and eight union territories.

The government, seated in New Delhi, has three primary branches: the legislative, the executive, and the judiciary, whose powers are vested in a bicameral Parliament, a prime minister, and the Supreme Court respectively, with a president as head of state. Through judicial evolution, the Parliament has lost its sovereignty as its amendments to the Constitution are subject to judicial intervention. Judicial appointments are made with negligible say from the executive or legislature.

About the SECI Internship

The Internship Program will serve as an opportunity for students to understand the Renewable Energy sector and SECI as an employer, helping them evaluate future career opportunities.

The program will be structured as short-term, supervised placements focused on specific tasks or projects with defined timescales.

The work should be meaningful and mutually beneficial for both the intern and the Corporation. It is neither a job nor an assurance of employment in the Corporation.

Eligibility criteria

The Internship will be available to students engaged in research, students pursuing Engineering Graduate and Postgraduate Degrees, or Ph.D. in the Renewable Energy Sector, CACS/ICWAs/CMAM/BAs in HR/Finance/IT/C from recognized Universities/Institutions within India or abroad.

Benefits

The interns shall have the opportunity to learn about the implementation of Government of India schemes in Renewable Energy, including Solar-Wind Hybrids, Floating Solar, Solar Manufacturing, and Battery Energy Storage Systems.

Duration

The internship will be on a paid basis for Engineering/M-Tech students (during internship/course): A minimum period of 03 months & maximum period of 06 months.

For CA/CS /ICWA/ CMA: 06 months to 03 years,

For MBA students: Minimum 07 weeks to 06 months.

Those who have completed the course or left in between will not be eligible.

Stipend

An amount of Rs 5000/- shall be paid as a stipend to all Engineering Graduates & Post Graduate Degrees / Ph. D in Renewable Energy Sector / CA/CS /ICWA/CMA/MBA ni HR/ Finance/ IT/CC.

Amount of Rs 8000/- per month for internship less than 06 months.

An amount of Rs 12,000/- per month for an internship of 06 months to 03 years.
