The National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy) is pleased to announce an exciting internship opportunity within its esteemed Department of EEE.

Applications are invited from the third year and final year B.Tech. Electrical and Electronics Engineering students of various institutions for undergoing an internship at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering under Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) of the SERB project (CRG/2021/005521).

About NIT Trichy

The National Institute of Technology (formerly known as Regional Engineering College) Tiruchirappalli, situated in the heart of Tamil Nadu on the banks of the river Cauvery, was started as a joint and cooperative venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu during 1964 with a view to catering to the needs of man-power in technology for the Country.

The College has subsequently been conferred with autonomy in financial and administrative matters to achieve rapid development. Because of this rich experience, this institution was granted Deemed University Status with the approval of the University Grants Commission, the All India Council for Technical Education, and the Govt. of India in the year 2003 and was renamed as National Institute of Technology.

National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy) is one of the premier Institutions of India and is well known for its high standards in teaching and research. It offers 10 undergraduate & 23 postgraduate programs in disciplines spanning engineering, science, architecture, and management. It has been declared as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India under the NIT Act.

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked NIT Trichy first among the NITs for seven years in a row from 2016 to 2022. NIRF also ranked the institute 4 for architecture, 9 for engineering, 35 for management, 22 for research, and 21 overall among the academic institutions in India in 2023.

NIT Trichy was titled the “Best Industry-Linked NIT in India” by the Confederation of Indian Industry in 2015, and “University of the Year” by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry in 2017

Project Title

Development of Metal 3D Printed Light Weight Flywheel and Novel Control Algorithm for Micro-Grid Energy Storage Applications.

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualification: Currently pursuing third year and final year B.Tech.(EEE) with a good academic background.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Power Electronics, MATLAB Simulation, and Programming in Microcontroller/FPGA.

Starting Date for Submission of Application: 10.04.2024
Last date for Submission of Application: 24.04.2024

Stipend:

 Internship – Rs. 5000/- per month

Duration

Two months only (Between 01.05.2024 and 30.06.2024).
