MCF, one of the leading centers of ISRO, provides an opportunity for student’s community to carry out Internship and project work as part of their academic curriculum. Internship opportunity is provided by UG/PG/PhD student. The period of Internship will be for a minimum period of 15 days and a maximum period of 45 days.

Understanding the Master Control Facility (MCF)
The MCF is the nerve center of ISRO’s satellite operations. It’s responsible for the critical tasks that ensure the smooth functioning of India’s space missions after launch. These include:

  • Initial Orbit Raising: MCF meticulously maneuvers satellites into their designated orbits.
  • In-Orbit Payload Testing: The facility rigorously tests the onboard functionalities of the satellite’s instruments.
  • On-Orbit Operations: Throughout a satellite’s lifespan, MCF provides continuous monitoring, issuing commands, and performing essential operations like station-keeping and eclipse management.

The internship is open to students and early-career professionals from all over the world. Applicants must be:

ISRO MCF Internship Eligibility

  • The candidate should be a Citizen of India.
  • The candidate should be pursuing UG/PG/PhD from a recognized University/Institution (India/Abroad).
  • OR
  • The candidate should have completed UG/PG from a recognized University/Institution, seeking internship opportunity within 6 months from the date of completion of Course. The candidate should be a student enrolled for regular on-campus program in a recognized University/Institution .
  • The candidate should have completed UG/PG/PhD as a regular on campus student.

Important note about ISRO Internships

Students will be allotted internship work at MCF based on the availability of projects, facilities and suitability of student’s course to the work carried out at MCF. The allotment of internship will be on first come first serve basis only and the availability of number of slots per year is limited.

Students studying in 5th Semester or 3rd Year onwards are eligible for applying. The interns will not be provided any kind of financial assistance like stipends, transport and accommodation.

Normally, allotment of Internship will be in the month of August to October of every year. On consideration, internship may be allowed in other months also based on available resources due to Mission Critical Activities.
