About the NISER

The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) is a public research institute in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, under the umbrella of the Indian Department of Atomic Energy. The institute is affiliated with Homi Bhabha National Institute. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh (served 2004–2014), laid the foundation stone on August 28, 2006. About the NISER Bhubaneswar Summer internship

Program A: Summer Internship / Short-term Project Program

Duration: 3 months (May to July 2024)

No extension for a longer stay will be considered

No fee or financial support/stipend will be provided

Program B: Long-term/Dissertation Project Work Program

Duration: Maximum of 6 months (July to December 2024)

No extension for a longer stay will be considered except in exceptional cases

Fee: Students from private universities/colleges/institutes selected for this program will have to pay Rs. 10,000/- for 6 months

No financial support or stipend will be provided.

The School of Biological Sciences at NISER (National Institute of Science Education and Research), Bhubaneswar is inviting applications from students interested in Summer Internships and Short-term & Long-term (Dissertation) Project Work. The programs are open to science students registered in recognized universities/institutes

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be registered/enrolled in a science-related UG/PG degree course.

Students who have not previously availed of these programs at SBS-NISER are eligible to apply.

Applicants must be currently pursuing a science-related UG/PG degree course.
