Meanwhile, in response to the Right to Information Act query, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has said that about 22 per cent of students who sought placements during these five years were unable to get jobs. The institution said that job placements for this year are ongoing but declined to provide exact details on recruitment. However, experts predict an employment rate of about 40 per cent for 2024, which while representing progress over previous years, also shows that a significant number of students still struggle to find jobs.
