The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), formerly known as the DOEACC Society, is an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. Established in 1994 as DOEACC Society and later renamed to NIELIT in 2011, the organization is dedicated to skill development and the creation of human resources in the areas of Information Electronics & Communications Technology (IECT). About the NIELIT WBL Program

The Work Based Learning (WBL) Programme by NIELIT is an initiative aimed at providing opportunities to SC/ST/EWS/Women candidates to acquire technical skills in emerging technologies. The program is designed to offer practical work experience in various domains, such as AI and ML, Embedded Systems, and more. The main objectives of the WBL program are:

  • To provide hands-on experience to students in the field of Information Electronics & Communications Technology (IECT).
  • To help students translate their theoretical knowledge into practical skills.
  • To offer industry exposure and enhance students’ employability.

The program is available at the Haridwar/Dehradun location, with a duration of 6 months and a stipend of ₹1000 per month

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the NIELIT Work-Based Learning Program are as follows:

  • Students (SC, ST, Women, and EWS) who are pursuing B.E./ B.Tech in ECE/EE/CSE/IT (7th/8th Semester) or passed out MCA/M.Sc. in CS/IT/Electronics.
  • Candidates must be available for 6 months.
  • Applicants should have relevant skills and interests
