It is time to make the big move of your career with the TCS National Qualifier Test (TCS NQT).
TCS NQT hires Prime, Digital, and Ninja freshers using an Integrated Test Pattern. A single test must be taken by candidates, and their results will determine whether they advance to Prime, Digital, or Ninja interviews.
TCS NQT is only available to 2024 graduating students who hold the following degrees: AICTE/UGC-recognized institutions and colleges offer the following degrees: Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech. ), Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. ), Master of Technology (M.Tech. ), Master of Engineering (M.E. ), Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A. ), Master of Science (M.Sc. / M.S. ), in any specialization.
Application Process:
Step 1. Login to the TCS NextStep Portal here
Step 2. Register and Apply for the Drive
- Scenario A. If you are a registered user under TCS NextStep Portal, ‘IT’ category, kindly log in with your TCS Reference ID (CT / DT reference number) and proceed to complete the application form. Upon submission, kindly click on ‘Apply For Drive’
- Scenario B. If you are a new user, kindly click on Register Now, choose the category “IT” and proceed to fill in your details. Submit your application form and click on ‘Apply For Drive’
Step 3. Select your mode of test (In-Centre) and choose your preferred test centre & then click on Apply.
Step 4. To confirm your status, check “Track Your Application“. The status should reflect as “Applied for Drive”.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
- Please note that this is an In-Center test, and centre allotment would be on a first come first serve basis.
- You must have all your original academic documents till date, to be submitted at the time of the Interview (if the test is shortlisted).
- Communication related to the test will be informed to you by our test partner, TCS iON.
- TCS does not send job offers / any hiring-related communication from unofficial email IDs like Gmail, Rediffmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail etc.
- TCS does not ask candidates to deposit any money for employment offers.

Eligibility Criteria of TCS Fresher Hiring
Percentage: Minimum 60% – or 6 CGPA during the course of their academic careers, including their highest qualification, up until the most recent semester for which results were announced at the time of the test-taking procedure. If the candidate is chosen, the offer will only be deemed valid if the degree or provisional degree certificate unambiguously indicates that the individual has completed the course with a “First Class” engineering grade at the time of joining.
Highest Qualification: TCS NQT is exclusively open for candidates from the batch of 2024 with the following academic degrees: Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) / Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Master of Technology (M.Tech.) / Master of Engineering (M.E.) / Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) / Master of Science (M.Sc. / M.S.) in any specialization offered by AICTE / UGC recognized universities/colleges.
- Backlogs / Arrears / ATKT: The candidates should not have any pending or active backlog/arrear / ATKT at the time of appearing for the TCS Selection process. If selected, no pending backlogs/arrears / ATKT will be permitted at the time of joining TCS. All pending backlogs/arrears / ATKT should be cleared within the course duration stipulated by the University.
- Extended Education: No extended education would be allowed. Candidates should have completed the course in the stipulated course duration.
- Gap / Break in Education: It is mandatory to declare gaps in education, if any. The overall academic gap should not exceed 24 months until the highest qualification. Relevant documentation, as applicable, will be checked for gaps in education.
- Course Types: Only full-time courses will be considered (Part-time / Correspondence courses will not be considered).
- Open Schooling: Candidates who have completed their Secondary and/or Senior Secondary course from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) are also eligible to apply if the graduation and post-graduation (if applicable) courses are done full-time.
- Work Experience: Candidates with prior work experience of up to 2 years are eligible to apply for this hiring process (Applicable only for postgraduate students).
- Age: Candidates should be between 18 and 28 years old to participate in this hiring event.

Features:
- TCS NQT is an integrated test consisting of two sections: Foundation and Advanced.
- While all are encouraged to attempt both sections, the ‘Advanced section’ is mandatory if you aspire for Digital or Prime.
- Based on the test performance, candidates will be shortlisted for Prime, Digital or Ninja interviews.
- TCS NQT will be conducted in TCS iON Centers.
